Research & Faculty

Dana Peterson looking thoughtful “I wanted my psychology to be immediately informed by what I know of Scripture and to have my Scripture immediately
informed by what I know about the human condition. My training at Rosemead, in this respect, has been really solid.”
Dana Peterson, Psy.D. ('02), Navy Psychologist, Marine Corp Airstation, Cherry Pt., NC

World Class Faculty

The faculty at Rosemead is committed to providing you with a diverse education that can address the needs and issues you will encounter outside of the classroom. Because of this commitment, Rosemead does not adhere to any one "school" or theoretical orientation in psychology. At Rosemead, you will have the opportunity to take courses from a variety of perspectives. This will allow you to determine which perspective works best for you and your clients. Rosemead's faculty does, however, have a strong focus on psychological assessment, and individual psychotherapy with adults and family therapy. As a Rosemead student, you will study with a faculty who are also practicing therapists, authors, journal editors, ministers, former missionaries, researchers, national experts, and most of all, friends and fellow colleagues.

Research

Rosemead is located on the campus of America's only all-Christian research university, as classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and U.S. News & World Report. This academic setting will expose you to the diversity of cross-disciplinary research occurring across campus among the University's additional schools and institutes. You will benefit from this breath of research through specialized classes co-taught by Rosemead faculty and professors of diverse disciplines. In addition, Rosemead is also home to the Institute for Research on Psychology and Spirituality and is publisher of the Journal of Psychology & Theology, the first research journal dedicated to the integration of psychology and theology. Our faculty continues to be involved in ongoing research through the school's stratified research teams, which will help keep you abreast of the latest research on the integration of psychology and theology.
