About Rosemead
True Integration
The integration of psychology and theology is the hallmark of Rosemead School of Psychology. Currently, Rosemead offers more integration classes than any school in the nation. In 2000, Rosemead created the Institute for Research on Psychology and Spirituality to examine integration paradigms and how integration is applied to clinics, churches and graduate programs.
APA Accreditation
Rosemead has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1980. The APA Committee on Accreditation may be contacted at 750 First St. NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242 (202-336-5979).
Nationally Ranked Research University
Rosemead is a graduate school of Biola University. Biola is the only evangelical research university in the nation ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a "National University" which they consider the "major leagues of higher education."
Clinical Training
Rosemead is equipped with a 10,000-square-foot counseling center. Students gain clinical experience through the counseling center under the supervision of professional therapists. Students also benefit from Rosemead's location, which has one of the highest concentrations of clinical practices in the nation. These practices regularly train Rosemead students through internships and practica.
Internship Placements
Rosemead has the highest placement rate in APA approved internships compared to other clinical psychology programs in Southern California. In the past five years, 98 percent of Rosemead students have received APA approved internships.
Christian Community
As a graduate school of Biola, Rosemead provides students with a Christ-centered learning environment where all students, faculty and staff are professing Christians.
Biblically Centered
Rosemead provides students with a firm foundation of scripture and the great historic traditions of the Christian church. We believe that scripture provides the greatest insight into the human condition, which is why we include 31 units of theology courses and integration seminars into our interdisciplinary study.
